Warehouses, pubs and terrace streets
The Inner West has three kinds of venue. Converted warehouses around Marrickville and St Peters hand you a big open floor and an industrial look. Above the pubs in Newtown, Enmore and Leichhardt, the function rooms come with a staircase. Then there are the terrace homes around Balmain and the small galleries.
Which of the three you are working with decides the booth, the footprint and how long setup takes, so it is the first thing we ask about.
Power, stairs and parking
Power: an ordinary power point does the job. In an older warehouse or pub room the nearest point is often nowhere near where the booth should go.
Stairs: a good number of the best function rooms here are upstairs with no lift. That is a carry we plan around, and it changes how early the van needs to arrive.
Parking: terrace streets are narrow and frequently permit-only. We work out where the van unloads beforehand.

Can the booth go in an upstairs function room with no lift?
Yes. Plenty of the best rooms in Newtown, Enmore and Leichhardt are up a flight of stairs. Tell us when you book and we build the carry into the setup time.
Do warehouse venues have enough power for a booth?
Almost always. A booth runs from a standard power point. What is worth checking is where the nearest point sits, because in a big warehouse space it is not always near where you want the booth.
Which booth suits a warehouse space?
The 360 Booth, if you have the floor for it, because an open warehouse gives it the room it needs. For a smaller space or an upstairs pub function room, the Retro or Open-Air Booth fits better. Retro books online from $799; the Open-Air Booth is quoted, so send us the room.
